Nipple Sparing Mastectomy

In many patients undergoing a mastectomy, it is possible to retain all the skin including the nipple. This gives the possibility of achieving outcomes where the breast can appear unaltered or even improved from the pre operative condition. This is particularly likely if patient is undergoing prophylactic mastectomy or where there is a relatively small peripheral tumor.
